Access to Dental-Care Services in Jazan, Saudi Arabia: A Scoping Review

<b><i>Introduction:</i></b> The construct of dental access adopted in this study uses the following 4 main dimensions: opportunity for access, realized or utilization, equity, and outcome. <b><i>Aims:</i></b> principal aims were to identify various indicators used literature measure each dimension Saudi Arabia, summarize map range existing research with policy implications, gaps research, consider implications future research. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> This scoping review was conducted using PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar databases, as well manually. Additional relevant publications identified by manually searching reference list included studies. Data extracted based on dimensions framework. <b><i>Results:</i></b> search strategy yielded 230 studies, which 16 after full-text revision. Of domains, most explored all studies but no differentiation made authors between initial utilization continued engagement. <b><i>Conclusions:</i></b> An overview different suggestions has been provided. In particular, we recommend making better use teledentistry, improving referral services dentists physicians, offering more education prevention schools’ health-service sites.
